Our Standard

The ModTime standard is built before the watch leaves us.

Our Standard

A ModTime watch should feel considered from the first click to the moment it is worn. Our standard is simple: clear component choices, careful hand assembly, honest technical education, quality review before dispatch and support that gives the customer a direct path when they need help.

Clarity before hype

Premium does not need to shout. The first part of our standard is clarity: what style the watch follows, what movement powers it, what material choices matter, what bracelet or strap changes the feel and what practical expectations come with the build.

That is why the ModTime site separates the process into pages like How We Build, Movements and Materials. The customer should not have to guess what creates the character of the watch.

Component selection

Every build is a composition. The case sets the silhouette. The dial controls the first impression. The hands and markers shape legibility. The movement defines the way the watch behaves. The crystal, bracelet, strap, bezel, crown and caseback influence how the watch feels in daily ownership.

Our material story is not decoration. It is part of the product experience. Sapphire crystal, stainless steel where specified, bracelet architecture and strap choice all change the way the watch wears.

Assembly discipline

The build is handled as a sequence, not a shortcut. Components are prepared, assembled, aligned, closed and reviewed. The dial and hand alignment, crown feel, bracelet or strap fit, crystal condition and overall presentation all matter because small details are what make a custom watch feel coherent.

Water resistance with boundaries

Water resistance is treated as a practical protection path, not a vague promise. The right language depends on configuration, seals, crown position, testing path and future care. That is why we explain it separately instead of hiding it inside a product bullet.

Read Water Resistance before making assumptions about water exposure.

Support is part of the standard

The ownership experience does not end when the watch leaves the workshop. Customers need a clear route for pre-purchase questions, order questions, care questions and after-purchase support. That route lives across Customer Support, Warranty & Support, FAQ and Contact.

The pages below connect this topic to the wider ModTime ownership story.

The ModTime standard is not a single line on a product page. It is the discipline of making the watch, the claim and the customer expectation fit together.
