RETURN AND EXCHANGE POLICY

 

At ModTime, we hand-assemble every timepiece with precision, care, and strict quality control. We want every customer to enjoy a reliable, long-lasting watch. If any issue occurs, we are committed to resolving it quickly and professionally.

This Refund & Return Policy explains when returns are accepted, how they are processed, and what conditions must be met.

 

1. Return Eligibility Period

Customers may request a return within 14 days from the date of delivery.

To be eligible for a return, customers must contact us first at:

Returns without prior authorization will not be accepted.

 

2. Conditions for Accepted Returns

ModTime accepts returns only in the following verified situations:

✔ Verified movement or mechanical issues

If the watch shows a mechanical problem or a movement defect that can be verified and confirmed by our team.

✔ Assembly-related defects

If the watch contains a fault caused by improper assembly on our side.

These conditions align with our commitment to craftsmanship and quality control.

 

3. Situations Where Returns Are Not Accepted

Returns cannot be accepted in the following cases:

  • General wear and tear or damage caused by improper use

  • Water damage caused by misuse or exceeding the watch’s water-resistance rating

  • Damage resulting from accidents, drops, or external forces

  • Modifications performed by third parties

  • Removed protective films, scratched cases, or straps showing signs of use (unless the defect is mechanical)

 

4. Condition of Returned Items

To qualify for a refund:

  • The watch must be returned with all accessories included in the order (protective case, strap sizing tool).

  • Items must be securely packaged to prevent damage during transport.

  • The watch must not show signs of excessive wear unless the return is due to a verified mechanical issue.

 

5. Responsibility for Return Shipping Costs

Return shipping costs depend on the situation:

✔ If the return is approved due to a verified movement or assembly issue:

ModTime covers the return shipping costs.

✔ If the return is requested for any other reason:

The customer covers the cost of return shipping.

We recommend using tracked and insured shipping for all returns.

 

6. Return Address

All approved returns must be sent to:

Please do not send returns without prior contact and confirmation.

 

7. Refund Processing Time

Once we receive and inspect the returned item:

  • We will notify the customer about the approval or rejection of the refund.

  • Approved refunds are processed within 5–7 business days to the original payment method.

Refunds may take additional time depending on the customer’s bank or payment provider.

 

8. Exchanges

Exchanges are accepted only for defects caused by:

  • verified movement issues, or

  • assembly faults on our side.

We do not offer exchanges for preferences such as choosing wrong color, style, or size.

 

 

9. Our Quality Commitment

Every ModTime order includes:

  • a protective travel case,

  • a strap sizing tool,

  • professional movement testing before shipment.

We are always available to assist with fast and friendly communication.
