FAQ

Use this FAQ as a pre-purchase checkpoint for ModTime custom watches. It is designed to answer the questions customers usually ask before choosing a model, movement, bracelet, water-resistance path, support route or logo/no-logo direction.

What is ModTime?

ModTime is an independent custom watch studio. We assemble custom watches from selected components and explain the build, movement, material and support expectations as clearly as possible. Start with About ModTime.

Is ModTime connected to another watch brand?

No. ModTime is independent and should be understood as its own custom watch studio. For the full explanation, read No Brand Affiliation.

How are ModTime watches built?

The build process begins with order and specification review, then component preparation, assembly, alignment, checks, packing and dispatch. Read How We Build and Build Timeline.

What movements does ModTime use?

Depending on the build, ModTime pages may reference automatic, GMT, no-date/open-heart or meca-quartz chronograph layouts. The dedicated Movements page explains how those movement choices change daily ownership.

What materials and bracelets should I understand?

Materials shape the feel of the watch. Crystal, steel, case profile, dial, bracelet or strap all matter. Read Materials for the component story, including sport, dress-sport, integrated, rubber and leather options where relevant.

What does water resistance mean?

Water resistance is protection with boundaries, not a promise that the watch is invincible. It depends on configuration, condition, seals, crown position and care. Read Water Resistance before making assumptions about water exposure.

Is every watch checked before dispatch?

Each public claim should stay within the actual review path. ModTime explains its inspection and presentation review on Quality Check.

What warranty and support do I get?

ModTime communicates a 12-month warranty claim where confirmed. For support direction and warranty framing, use Warranty & Support and Customer Support.

How do I contact ModTime?

Use Contact when you need help choosing a model, understanding a build, checking an order question or asking for after-purchase support. Include the product link or order number if available.

Which page should I read first?

If you are new to custom watches, start with Why ModTime. If you want proof and process, start with Our Standard. If your question is about identity or logo choices, read Logo / No Logo and No Brand Affiliation.

What about shipping, returns and limitations?

Shipping and returns questions should be checked against the current store policy and order details. This FAQ is helpful for orientation, but it does not replace the policy pages, warranty review or support assessment. The limitations are intentional: a custom watch question often depends on the model, order status, condition and evidence provided.

This FAQ is a map. The best next step is the page that matches your doubt: process, movement, material, support, warranty, water resistance or brand independence.
